At Göstas Fiskekrog, you’re greeted by the scent of the sea, freshly cooked seafood and a kitchen that prepares everything from scratch – using seasonal ingredients and fish that has often passed through the Smögen fish auction only a few hours earlier.
We let the sea guide our menu, which changes several times a year and always reflects the shift of the seasons. From freshly caught mackerel and just-landed seafood in summer to lobster, cod and deeper, richer flavors in autumn.
We want your time with us to feel both relaxed and memorable. Sitting down in the restaurant, taking in the atmosphere from the kitchen and looking out over Smögen Harbour is an experience in itself – whether you’re here for a long dinner, a spontaneous lunch or simply a glass at the bar.
At Göstas, we take pride in our west coast heritage and everything it has to offer. Local flavors meet modern touches, always with respect for the ingredients and the craft. Our staff does everything they can to make you feel welcome – from the first greeting to the last cup of coffee.

Seats inside
With around 68 seats indoors, you can sit down, take in the scent of the sea and enjoy a meal prepared with fresh ingredients from the Swedish west coast.
From our windows, you’ll have a view over Smögen Harbour – a setting that makes every meal feel special, no matter the season.
Outdoor dining & rooftop terrace
Sun, sea spray and the rhythm of the archipelago – here, you’re seated right in the heart of Smögen’s summer.
During the summer months, and on beautiful days throughout the rest of the year, we open our large outdoor terrace that spans two levels and seats around 170 guests.
Here, you can enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks and the very best view of Smögen.
Kaptenssalen
On the upper floor, you’ll find our beautiful Captain’s Room – a bright and charming dining space with several tables suitable for groups of 4 to 8 guests. Here, you can sit in peace with a fantastic view of the harbor – perfect for birthday celebrations, small weddings or any special occasion where you want to gather friends and family around really good food. This is also where we occasionally host live music or other events.
Seasonal menu
Our menu changes with the seasons and the offerings of the sea. The classic shrimp sandwich is, of course, always included, but the rest of the menu adapts to seasonal ingredients and the inspiration in our kitchen. This means you’ll always find something new to discover – no matter when you visit us.
Kaptenssalen
Our newly renovated upstairs area is available for rent for larger groups, whether you’re celebrating birthdays, christenings, weddings, or other special occasions in life. Get in touch with us, and we’ll work together to create the perfect arrangement for you!
